Saludos from the Puerto Rico Women's Senior National Lacrosse Training Team!

As we continue to train and work together for our FIRST EVER appearance at the World Lacrosse Senior Women's World Championship this summer in Towson MD, we call on all of our Puerto Rico Lacrosse friends, family, and supporters and ask that you help us reach our fundraising goal of

$ 5,000

for National Women in Sports Day on 2/2/2022 !!!

Welcome to the Puerto Rico Lacrosse Women’s Lacrosse page.
Natalie Bermudez and Sophia Lugo, the original and current women’s program coaches have been building teams for competion since 2018. This year our women’s senior national team will participate in the World Championship at Towson (Md.) University from June 29 - July 9, 2022. We are excited to have the best Puerto Rican lacrosse players representing our island and our organization!

2022 Women’s Senior National Team

    Our Senior Women’s National team will compete in Towson, MD Jun 29 - July 9, 2022.  This exceptional opportunity comes with a price of dedication, training, and commitment as well as significant costs associated with outfitting, travel, and lodging. Our dedicated volunteers and family have supported our athletes, but the significance of sponsorship opportunities remains a viable option to help raise funds.

     Within our short existence the women’s program has participated in the U19 world lacrosse championships earning 9th place and several PALA qualifiers, always placing within the top three. Considering these championships were on the world level of competition, we regard those placements as truly incredible for our several appearances. Lacrosse, like all other sport competitions, was put on a temporary hold during the global pandemic, but our dedication continued during that short pause and we are prepared to resume world competition starting in 2022.

    The cost of representing our Flag is prohibited to a lot of our players, we run the risk of not being at full strength for these tournaments. For this reason, our federation has taken the challenge to seek financial sponsorship, to remove the financial burden for our Athletes representing our Island. Please take a moment to consider donating and  help get this team to the championships.

Puerto Rico Lacrosse Women's U19 event

A recap from our Florida trip!

Our Florida Event went on rain, hurricane, or shine. It was an intimate event focused on specific skills evaluations. We are thrilled with the talent, poise, and mental maturity of all of our young athletes that made this event. The intensity has continued to escalate and we are on the right path to developing our squad without losing focus on our founding purpose.  At the conclusion of the assessment, those participating took on another role.  They volunteered their time to give back to the local community.  Partnering with with US Lacrosse the players and coaching staff from Puerto Rico Lacrosse assisted in coaching and teaching lacrosse to athletes of all ages.  We want to extend a big thank you to those who attended, a heartfelt welcome to the family, and we look forward to our continued growth.
