Jeffrey Ramos was officially named the first head coach of the Puerto Rico Lacrosse Men’s National Team on June 29, 2016. "It's a great pleasure to welcome Jeff to Puerto Rico Lacrosse. He also shared the same vision and commitment to continuing our work to expand the game of lacrosse on the island of Puerto Rico and to Puerto Rican youth living in the United States. A commitment that also promotes the value of education, healthy living and community engagement,” said Miguel Lozado, Co-founder and Vice President of Puerto Rico Lacrosse.Ramos has been an executive in the managed care and healthcare industry for over 25 years. He is currently the CEO of Ed2med, Inc. In addition to his business interests, he is the Founder and Director of Matrix Lacrosse, Inc. and the assistant varsity lacrosse coach at Nyack High School, Nyack, NY. As a coach, Ramos has helped develop a number of Division I, II & III college players. His commitment to the growth of the game is reflected as a Founder and Director of two youth programs, 15+ years as a volunteer youth coach and many other philanthropic initiatives supporting youth and HS programs."I am honored to be selected as the first Head Coach of the Puerto Rico Lacrosse Men's National Lacrosse team," said Ramos. He graduated from Alfred University ’87, with a B.S. in Marketing and minor English. He and his wife, Denise, a registered nurse, have three grown children, Evan, Brennen and Will.
